As promised, here is a link to my presentation at the Wiley Publishing booth about Preparing for Travel Photography in 2010.
Computers at home and in your pocket, always connected to the Internet, have permanently changed some of the fundamental ideas of travel photography. Much of the same printed information that was previously only available in disparate, disconnected volumes is now available online. And more incredible is the wealth of visual information that is especially useful to a photographer that was never previously obtainable without visiting a site in person.
The Internet has changed the ability of the travelling photographer to pre-visualize the images he or she wants to create before ever setting foot on location.
