Driving home the other night, the sun was behind the clouds and what had seemed like a great sunset was looking a bit boring. As I passed one of my frequent photographic haunts, suddenly the sun emerged from behind the clouds and the beautiful light and shadow began to appear. I was tired and just wanted to go home, but after driving a few hundred feet forced myself to stop and turn around.

After setting up my tripod and taking a few test shots, I looked back up to see that the sun had further sunk below the layer of clouds and there was now some of the most beautiful light I have ever seen in this spot along Rt. 32! Had I kept driving I would have missed both the photographs and the memory of this incredible light.
