While exploring the central California coastline in 2011 I discovered just how foggy that area can be. For two days while driving up the Pacific Coast Highway I saw the ocean but two or three times despite being on cliffs at its edge. However, fog or no fog, it is beautiful country with incredible views everywhere you look. This massive tree was near Ragged Point, CA that I found on a morning hike before hitting the road again.

Looking forward to seeing California again next Saturday. San Diego, Los Angeles, and the coastal highways between will be the subjects of exploration and images.
