As the evening falls in my yard every night, the sun first moves behind the trees on the side of the mountain* and for a few hours patches of sunlight filter through the waving branches and leaves, creeping across the yard as the sun moves. This was one of the last patches before sunset this evening as I sat and watched it slowly move, lighting up leaves and then leaving them in darkness.

While travelling the country and the world is an amazing way to get a new view on the world, simply sitting and being present in what is around you every day is fascinating in its own right.

* (I use that term loosely for anyone who lives near real mountains)
