View from the rocks at Galera Point in Toco.
The Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet here. Not just on a map, but in the physical world as well. The distinctly bluer line of blue water is the edge of the Atlantic, with the turquoise waters of the Carribean crashing against the rocky outcrops as we look east from the rocks past the lighthouse.
This was one of those truly special places where I think I could have stayed for days just watching the oceans swirl and crash. But the turtles were waiting, so we had to move on.
Galera Point is one of many places that make me want to return to Trinidad.
