Taken at 1/100 second at f/8, ISO 200 with a EF300mm f/4L IS USM @ 300 mm on a Canon Canon EOS 5D Mark III
When camped in Mecca Hills, CA we spent a few days in the same location. Rather than go searching for new sites every day, new things to see, we stayed in one place and I instead explored the depth of different ways to see a place. What does looking at the same tree through different eyes, different lenses, different lights look like? What does it feel like? When I look at this shot and the many others of this place, it brings me back to being there in a way that just getting “that perfect shot” somewhere and moving on does not often convey.
