Here’s a quick shot of this morning’s mass ascension at the 2012 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

Despite getting only three-and-a-half hours of sleep it was an amazing experience. I knew it would be a good photo op, but never expected it to give me goosebumps watching 500 balloons taking off into the morning air.

More pics to come, but now its time to get on the plane and head back east.
