As the sun set on Wednesday evening, the sky lit up red and gold and blue. The long shadows began to engulf the shoreline parks and low buildings but the tall skyscrapers continued to reach up and hold on to the last bits of daylight. As I crouched amongst the rocks they, and I, were pounded with spray and waves from Lake Michigan.

Although people walked and watched a mere 20′ away, I was not visible tucked into the rocks as I was, and enjoyed a few minutes of quiet solitude in my own little world. Every afternoon should end this way.
